Justice For Tenants is a Not-For-Profit free tenant advice service where tenants can talk about their issues.

We provide:

• Free advice personalised to the tenant's individual situation;
• Direct intervention to resolve the issues;
• Information about tenants' rights;
• Access to legal representation.

Our specialist area of expertise is deposit disputes.

Deposit disputes with a landlord or their agent

Our trained advisors listen to the situation in order to get an accurate understanding of what is going on.

After the initial conversation, we summarise the situation via email to ensure our advisor has correctly understood the issues. We also request certain documents to ensure that we can give the correct advice.

If the landlord or estate agent has broken the law

We provide:

• Information on what law has been broken and the amount of compensation the tenant is entitled to;
• Advice on how to recover the deposit and any additional compensation the tenant is entitled to;
• Direct intervention to recover both the deposit and compensation;

We have created our own free guide to help tenants recover their deposit money.
